Not really news, but videos!

I'll be honest. I'm only posting this so that I can officially keep my promise of posting a news update without letting another year go by. I beat my deadline by a week and a half.

I wish I had awesome news to report, but its the same old shit. Delays abound, blah blah, but hopefully in the coming weeks we'll be able to get started on wrapping up the final album. Certainly by springtime, I'll be able to post a real news update.

My most honest guess is that the album will be released in the Summer or Fall of 2007.

In the meantime, here's some videos that you may or may not have already seen:

EverDead videos:

The EverDead - Cut You Up

The EverDead - Raining Blood Tonight (live Halloween 2003)

The EverDead - The Evil Dead (test video)

And here's a few short movies we've made in the past:

Creepy House Party 2 - Wrath of Gomez

The Bad-Ass Biker: Episode 1 - The Baddest!

The Bad-Ass Biker: Episode 2 - So Bad

Man In Shades (A Love Story)

Bad-Ass Ninjas

And into the black we go...

Well, this is the first news post in a fuck of a long time. I had been holding out until our next album was near completion, so I could post the track listing and a couple sample tracks. However, I thought that those of you who check this site, waiting for an update (all three of you) deserve to know what's going on. So here it is.

The EverDead has barely managed to hobble its way through six years of existence. So what have we done in six years? Well, we released a hand full of shitty demos, an EP of horror punk songs that a lot of people seemed to enjoy, and an unbalanced collection of songs released as the "Slumber Party Massacre II" CD. We've played some memorable shows, met a lot of cool bands, a couple cool fans, and even made some good friends (We made a lot more enemies). We achieved a modest cult following on the Internet, then watched it slowly shrink over the years due to our inactivity.

Had we managed to get our shit together and be a real band, I think we could have really achieved something. Unfortunately, The EverDead was always more of a hobby for us, something we'd fuck around with in our spare time, then forget about for six months. We started this band to make enemies and maybe fuck a few girls. We never expected for anyone to like our music except for us.

You can probably see where I'm going with this. We're getting older and drifting down different paths. We've had a lot of trouble getting together to work on The EverDead these past couple years, and every year it gets harder. So we're laying The EverDead to rest.

However, we're still going to complete the "Zombies Werewolves, & Demons" CD. In fact, it's already about 70% complete. Since it will be our final CD, we're putting everything we have into it. We're recording over twenty tracks for the album. It will contain several studio versions of songs that we've been playing live for years, some newly recorded versions of old songs, and some new songs that no one has ever heard before. I'll post a track listing for the album as soon as we finish recording.

We're also going to be featured on the very first Glenn Danzig tribute album to ever be approved by Mr. Danzig himself: "Icons of the Underground Vol 1: Glenn Danzig". We've submitted a cover of the Samhain song "Novembers Fire". Some of you might have heard a version of "Novembers Fire" that we recorded two years ago, but the one that will be featured on the tribute album is a new, superior, recording. At Danzig's request, the album will have a limited run of 666 copies, and will be released on 06/06/06. You can go to www.deadrites.com and click on the store icon to pre-order the CD.

Finally, we're talking about setting up a final show for The EverDead. It probably won't take place until after "Zombies Werewolves, & Demons" is released. We'd like to record our final show, and possibly release it as a DVD, along with music videos, interviews, a short movies, and whatever other random shit we want to throw on there. Speaking of music videos, if you click on the "Music Videos" link to the left over there, you can watch a video we did for "Cut You Up".

So yeah, that's what's going on with The EverDead. I'll post more details about everything as soon they're worked out. It won't take me another year to post an update ... I promise.

The Resurrection of The EverDead

After over a year of inactivity, we've finally gotten our shit together and started working on new EverDead songs. Lots of new stuff will be coming from us soon, starting with this here fancy new website which was designed by Ghoul with graphics by Jenna D. You can let us know what you think of the new website (because we care about you) either by signing the nifty little blood scroll to the right over there, by posting on the Forum, or, by leaving a comment on this news post. It's still a work in progress, so any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

We're currently in the studio, recording over twenty tracks for two upcoming releases, the first of which is the long overdue "Zombies Werewolves, & Demons". The second release, entitled "... And Into The Black", will be a CD of our newest material. We're also recording tracks strictly for a website release which we're calling the "The Final Massacre". All of these releases will hopefully see the light of day by Halloween 2005.

Thanks to everyone who's waited for us to get our shit together so we could get back to making music. The wait will be worth it.

We're no longer auditioning for a sixth member, we've decided to stick with having one guitarist ... more stage room.

In the meantime, you can look around the new site. We've revised and updated pretty much everything. We've also added an unreleased interview that Zack did with me almost a year ago, and you can check that out in the interviews section. The site is still under construction so things might change and more things will be added in the coming weeks.

If you experience any technical problems with the new website, let our webmaster Ghoul know. You can contact him at: caleb at calebd dot net

More updates will be coming from us soon, so check back often.

Oh yeah, and if you haven't already, you should head over to www.cancerslug.net and download their newest CD, 'Book of Rats'. I fucking love that album.
